Jolène Gaudet
Founder of VisionEd Consultation Inc.

I have more than 20 years of experience in education as a teacher and leader, including 15 years as a mentor, vice principal and principal in rural and urban areas.
In 2021, I decided to use my strengths differently in order to make a difference more rapidly for individuals and teams, for kids and adults.

In short, I left the traditional system, but I did not leave education, proactive leadership and the importance of positive working and learning environments. I continue to lead in the system, and outside the system, in an innovating and proactive way, to meet current and future needs.

In addition to my education, experience, certifications and continuous professional development (local, regional, provincial, national and international), it is the everyday spent in schools for more than 20 years, especially during my years as a principal, that allow me to be a consultant and entrepreneure in my product and service offers.

I am from New Brunswick, Canada, and I also work from Florida, USA.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology. I have majors in industrial technology and education technology, and minors in French, resources and management technology (University of Moncton, 2001).

I have a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in teaching, learning and assessment (University of Ottawa, 2017).

I have a Teacher’s Certificate (2001) and a Principal’s Certificate (2016), as well as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (2019).

I am trained in the Performance and Excellence Management System (levels 1 and 2) and I ensure continuous improvement with, among others, Lean Six Sigma tools (examples: Kaizen for better management of emails using rather, more effective technologies per the need, and DMADV for the enrichment of students’ socio-emotional, communicative and cognitive skills). I also ensure continuous improvement by seeing challenges as opportunities.

I am trained in Insights Discover, Turnaround Interview for effective team support, explicit instruction and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). I also have an expertise pertaining to Microsoft 365, Apple products and several other technological tools for innovative use.

Moreover, I am a certified trainer and guide with WMA Wellness Inc. I offer tools and support to teams and companies to promote positive mental health, mental fitness, team resiliency, positive leadership and positive workplace environments.

Always in continuous improvement and learning mode, I ensure my professional development and my continuous learning: The Perfect Pitch: Delivering Effective Business Presentations (Zoom 2021), S’entr’Apprendre: Innovation at the Heart of Education (Zoom 2021), Connected School, Teaching in the Digital Age – Rendez-vous des Ecoles Francophones en Réseau (Montreal Quebec, 2018), History of Residential Schools and its Aftermath: Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples (Moncton NB, 2018), LGBTQ2+ (Moncton NB, 2017), Atlantic Educational Advancement in Information and Communication Technologies [Association] (APTICA) (Moncton NB, 2012 and 2017), Institute of Learning Disabilities (Montreal, 2008 and 2016), Response to Intervention – Solution Tree (Halifax Nova Scotia, 2015), Learning and the Brain – The Science of the Smarter Minds (New York City United States, 2014), Canadian Association of Immersion Professionals (ACPI) (Montreal Quebec, 2011), etc.

During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, I continued to improve my skills by participating in Zoom trainings: Mindfulness, T4 Education Conference, all the while supporting my team, students and parents to promote well-being and learning in innovative ways. I participated in the writing of a collective community book to share my story as a principal during the first lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic, in partnership with the Société culturelle de Baie-Sainte-Anne. With well-being and education a priority for me, I also made sure that the class of 2020 was at the forefront in an attempt to give the students a sense of normalcy by creating personalized montages, all the while delivering boxes of food to families in need.

For many years, I have been involved in various initiatives: community, cultural and technological volunteering, pediatric volunteering, meaningful and authentic learning opportunities for students (examples: facilitating the writing of a book that was published, community partnerships and volunteering, collective welcoming of immigrants, sports, arts, technopedagogy, kindness and empathy initiatives, partnership with various experts to help with students’ passions, interests and aspirations).

I was also a member and the president, many times, on local and provincial educational committees (NB, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020), etc. I have organized international school travel (2002 and 2005) and partnered with EF Education First in educational training and travel in New York City USA (2012). Moreover, I have participated in international educational travel with a company in NY that brought me to the United States, Western Canada and Mexico (2004). I have participated in the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF) Overseas Program (training in Ottawa Ontario, Canada) and organized and offered local teachers’ training and support in Ouagadougou Burkina Faso, Africa (2007).

Since the beginning of my career in 2001, I have acquired diverse work experience and leadership skills in the private and public sectors: online course design, university presentations, French, English, humanities, science and technology, arts, mathematics, professional cuisine, resource and literacy teaching, francization and technology specialization, etc.

Since 2007, I have also held various official leadership positions: math and numeracy mentor, vice principal, principal (including for the opening of a brand new school and school complex), guide and support, and specialist in the performance and excellence management system, technopedagogy and school reimagined.

The support and accompaniment of my team – of the person – has been a priority for me since the very beginning. I possess innovative skills in education reimagined for the overall success of each child, and I know how to accompany the people involved by ensuring humanism and evolution.

The last 20+ years in education – including 15 years in an official leadership role – have allowed me to become a consultant, guide, entrepreneure, and owner of VisionEd Consultation Inc. I truly focus on my strengths and added-value for diversified collaborations, international and global education, alignment and pedagotechnological support, learning workshops, business support, support to principals, teachers and families, social media marketing, graphic design, proofreading, translation, global well-being, positive woking and learning environments in any companies and teams, philanthropy, educational and organizations opportunities for higher level, global, whole person success… It seems like a lot, but it is not as I therefore do what I love.
